Taylor D. Rhodes
Vice President & Executive Director
Taylor Rhodes serves as Executive Director and Vice President of the National Association for Gun Rights, where he helps lead one of the nation’s largest and most aggressive no-compromise gun rights organizations. A longtime Second Amendment advocate and political strategist, Taylor has built his career on grassroots organizing, strategic communications, and hard-hitting political advocacy to advance and defend the right to keep and bear arms.
A Cleveland, Tennessee native, Taylor earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Southern Mississippi, where he founded the university’s College Republicans chapter, served as State Treasurer for the Mississippi Federation of College Republicans, and was actively involved in Sigma Nu Fraternity. He later earned a master’s degree in marketing and public relations from Liberty University.
In 2014, Taylor founded Rhodes Consulting, LLC, a political consulting firm through which he worked on campaigns and advocacy efforts ranging from local elections to presidential politics. That experience helped shape his approach to political messaging, grassroots mobilization, and public opinion.
Taylor entered the National Association for Gun Rights ecosystem in 2017 as a contract lobbyist for Rocky Mountain Gun Owners. He later became Executive Director of RMGO, leading the organization through some of Colorado’s most consequential Second Amendment fights and earning a reputation for aggressive, no-compromise political advocacy.
In 2023, Taylor joined the National Association for Gun Rights as Director of Communications, where he built and led a communications operation that expanded NAGR’s reach through digital media, earned media, video, grassroots messaging, and political campaigns. He was later elevated to Executive Director and Vice President, taking on a broader leadership role overseeing the organization’s efforts to grow the gun rights movement and advance its national agenda.
Outside of politics, Taylor is an avid firearms enthusiast who enjoys spending time at the range, working on his ever-growing collection of project guns, cheering on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, playing golf, and enjoying Kentucky bourbon.
Taylor lives in Hoover, Alabama, with his wife, Madison, and their son Rowdy. They are active members of Hunter Street Baptist Church.
