Lawmakers in Washington just scheduled an unexpected confirmation hearing on an anti-gun official, Chuck Canterbury, recently nominated to head the ATF.
With this confirmation hearing on the calendar for Wednesday July 31 at 10 AM eastern in the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, immediate action is needed:

Urge your Senators to oppose the nomination of Chuck Canterbury due to his history of endorsing gun control.
U.S. Senate leaders are hoping to RUSH through Canterbury’s hearing right before they brake for summer recess.
Unfortunately, Chuck Canterbury’s record on the Second Amendment reeks of the Obama-era. Check it out for yourself:
*** Chuck Canterbury supported radical anti-gun Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. 1
*** Chuck Canterbury supported former Attorney General Eric Holder – Obama’s head honcho who ran the deadly Fast and Furious gun running program. 2
*** Chuck Canterbury supported expanding the federal government’s gun registration schemes. 3
Even more troubling, under Canterbury’s current watch as President of the Fraternal Order of Police, the FOP is lobbying AGAINST Constitutional Carry. 4
Even as the vast majority of law enforcement officers support the right to carry, Canterbury is advocating to restrict your rights. 5
This is troubling news.
As Director of the ATF, Canterbury will have broad authority over firearms regulations in the United States.
Suppressors, Rifles, Handguns, Magazines you name it. Any federal gun regulation current or proposed will have to go through him.
So, why in the world would any supposedly pro-gun Senator vote to confirm someone who spent his career advocating against our right to keep and bear arms?
We need an ATF Director who wants to tear down gun control, not expand it.

Urge your Senators to vote against anti-gun ATF Director Nominee Chuck Canterbury, both in committee this week and if he comes to the floor in early September.
