Last year, Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB-173 into law, which allows for record-keeping of highly sensistive information on gun owners.
The legislation is ripe for abuse as it encourages the sharing of this personal information with the likes of anti-gun organizations.
Even more concerning, the Golden State has imlemented a “machine learning analysis of handgun transactions to predict fiream suicide risk.”
Risk factors associated with this “machine learning,” include age, first-time gun purchaser, and even singling out “white race.”
Taking it a step further, California is using this information to inform government “interventions,” aimed at restricting firearm access based on race and age.
Those who meet a certain threshold risk factor could be lumped into a “prohibited person” under California’s “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation law.
