U.S. Senate candidate Josh Turek wants Iowans to see him as a regular guy, but when he thinks he’s talking policy with the right crowd, the mask slips.
Josh Turek, the Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate in Iowa, wants to bring back a 1990s-style “Assault Weapons” Ban.
In his own words, caught on video: “I would like to see us return to a 1990’s… ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban, for example.”
That should tell Iowa gun owners everything they need to know.
Turek wants Iowans to see him as a “prairie populist,” a regular western Iowa guy who just happens to be running for Senate.
But out comes a wish list for reviving one of the most notorious gun control laws in American history.
And it’s not just his own words that should worry Iowa gun owners. It’s the company he keeps.
While Iowa families were enjoying the Iowa State Fair, Turek was more than 1,000 miles away in Nantucket, rubbing elbows with a Chuck Schumer-aligned dark money group that poured over $10 million to purchase this seat.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, one of the most powerful gun control advocates in Washington, has publicly called Turek “our guy.”
Additionally, former President Barack Obama, who spent his time in the White House pushing gun control measures at every turn, has personally endorsed Turek’s campaign for the U.S. Senate and actively stumps for Turek on the campaign trail.

So while Turek tries to sell Iowans on the false image of a small-town guy who just wants to fight for working families, the gun grabbers in Washington already know exactly who he is. They recognize one of their own.
A man who wants a 1990s “Assault Weapons” Ban, backed by Chuck Schumer and Barack Obama, is not a prairie populist. He is a rubber stamp for the same Gun Control Lobby that has spent decades trying to take away your rights.
Iowa gun owners deserve to know the truth about the man who wants to represent them in Washington.
That’s why NAGR and Gun Rights America SuperPAC are exposing Turek’s record.
The National Association for Gun Rights is taking Josh Turek’s record directly to gun owners across Iowa and Gun Rights America SuperPAC is running ads and phone calls and more through Election Day on November 3rd.
Through hard-hitting ads, phone calls, text messages and an all-out blitz to mobilize grassroots gun activists, NAGR is exposing the agenda of Turek, and every gun grabber like him in crucial races this election cycle.
Help us keep exposing gun grabbers before November 3rd.
