Kyle Rittenhouse Joins the Calls for South Carolina to Pass Constitutional Carry

press release

Kyle Rittenhouse joins the National Association for Gun Rights and its state affiliate, Palmetto Gun Rights, in calling on South Carolina Republicans and South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster to put Constitutional Carry into law.

South Carolina is the only Republican Controlled state to not have passed legislation that recognizes the right of every law-abiding citizen to carry a firearm, openly or concealed, on their person, without having to receive government permission in the form of a mandatory state-issued permit.

“I know the importance of self-defense,” said Kyle Rittenhouse. “That is why I’m calling on Governor Henry McMaster and the Republicans of South Carolina to pass Constitutional Carry and restore the right to self-defense in the Palmetto State.”

Palmetto Gun Rights Executive Director, Tommy Dimsdale, concurred with Rittenhouse’s call for continued pressure.

“This is no time to play politics in Columbia,” said Dimsdale, “Law-abiding South Carolinians are fed up with weak-kneed Republicans playing political games with their constitutional rights. We fully expect South Carolina to stop falling behind and join the 27 other Constitutional Carry states immediately.”

South Carolina will become the 28th Constitutional Carry state if the South Carolina legislature pass the legislation and it is signed into law.

The National Association for Gun Rights is the nation’s largest “no compromise” pro-gun organization, with 4.5 million members nationwide.
