Atlanta, GA — The National Association for Gun Rights is calling on lawmakers to ensure clean Constitutional Carry legislation passes in Georgia during the 2022 legislative session.
“The National Association for Gun Rights and our members want to see a clean, quality bill quickly pass through the Georgia State Legislature in 2022, and be signed into law as soon as possible,” said Dudley Brown, President of the National Association for Gun Rights.
Constitutional Carry is the simple concept that any law-abiding adult who is legally able to possess a handgun should be able to carry that handgun openly or concealed, without having to pay a tax or obtain a government permit.
Constitutional Carry bills pending in the Georgia State House and Senate are House Bill 2 and Senate Bill 319.
Currently, 21 states recognize Constitutional Carry as the law, and multiple states are considering passing Constitutional Carry legislation in 2022.
“We are encouraged by Governor Brian Kemp’s renewed push to restore the God-given rights of law-abiding gun owners in Georgia, and we’re mobilizing our membership in the state to ensure lawmakers send Constitutional Carry to Governor Kemp’s desk. We must be sure that lawmakers do not compromise on our right to self-defense, and continue restoring the Second Amendment,” concluded Brown.
The National Association for Gun Rights will peacefully rally with its members and the bill sponsors of Constitutional Carry in Woodstock, Georgia, on Jan 19, 2022.
