Erin Marquis, editor for Wirecutter and reporter for the New York Times leaves threatening voicemail in response to press release
Washington, D.C. – Today, the National Association for Gun Rights state affiliate Great Lakes Gun Rights received a threatening voicemail from Wirecutter and New York Times reporter Erin Marquis in response to a press release regarding the tragic shooting in Oxford, MI.
“We’re not surprised that an angry, liberal, anti-gun New York Times reporter would show their true colors and wish we’d burn in hell – we’re just glad she was actually foolish enough to leave two voicemails for us to laugh at, and then publish,” said Dudley Brown, President of the National Association for Gun Rights.

Earlier today, Great Lakes Gun Rights deployed a press release condemning the gun control bills and initiatives being pushed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Senate Democrats in the Michigan Legislature in response to the tragedy at Oxford High School.
The National Association for Gun Rights and its state affiliates oppose all gun control, and actively work at repealing unconstitutional laws while also using citizen lobbyists to pass pro-gun legislation.
“It’s obvious that the New York Times and their reporters believe in free speech, and so do we. But it’s also obvious they hate the Second Amendment, a right we’ll always defend along with the entire Bill of Rights. Our work protecting the Second Amendment won’t be undone by unhinged voicemails and angry tweets from whacko reporters.” concluded Brown.
The National Association for Gun Rights is the nation’s largest “no compromise” pro-gun organization, with 4.5 million members nationwide.
