Sherrod Brown wants his old Senate job back, and he’s bringing the same anti-gun record with him.
Sherrod Brown, the Democrat running for U.S. Senate in Ohio, wants to ban America’s most popular firearms.
In his own words:
“I support banning Assault Weapons in this country; I voted in support of the original ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban in 1994, and I voted to renew it …, I am a cosponsor of the ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban Act.”¹
That should tell Ohio gun owners everything they need to know.
Brown is not just talking. He is an original cosponsor of S. 25, the sweeping federal ban on the sale of America’s most popular semi-automatic rifles.²

In 2022, Brown also voted for S. 2938, the largest gun control package passed by Congress in nearly three decades.³

That bill gave states taxpayer-funded incentives to pass “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation laws, and expanded federal gun registration for young adults.⁴
And Brown is not doing this alone.
After Brown lost his Senate seat in 2024, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer personally traveled to Columbus twice to convince him to get back in the fight for a Senate seat in 2026.⁵
Ohio gun owners deserve to know the truth about the man asking for their vote a second time.
That’s why NAGR and the Gun Rights America SuperPAC are exposing Brown’s record.
The National Association for Gun Rights is taking Sherrod Brown’s record directly to gun owners across Ohio while Gun Rights America SuperPAC is running ads and phone calls and more through Election Day on November 3rd.
Through hard-hitting ads, phone calls, text messages and an all-out blitz to mobilize grassroots gun activists, NAGR is exposing the agenda of Brown, and every gun grabber like him this election cycle.
Help us keep exposing gun grabbers before November 3rd.
