Hunter King

Hunter brings a well-documented history of exceptional leadership and a strategic perspective focused on achieving victories in campaigns, establishing robust networks, and effectively influencing elected officials.
Raised in Mason City, IA, Hunter graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. During his time at Greensboro, he excelled as a Division-I All-Conference and All-State baseball player, later transitioning to a professional baseball career in Southern Illinois after graduation.
Beginning his political career on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, Hunter served on the staff of former U.S. Congressman Steve King (IA-04), a prominent supporter of the National Association for Gun Rights and a leader in the tea party movement. During his tenure with Congressman King, Hunter developed an extensive network of conservative contacts and honed his expertise in legislative processes and bill analysis.
Transitioning to NAGR in 2018 as the Federal Liaison, Hunter has dedicated himself to defeating multiple ATF nominations, thwarting various anti-gun bills, and contributing significantly to the organization’s influence in Washington, DC, employing uncompromising tactics that differentiate NAGR from other groups.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Hunter enjoys outdoor activities, preferably at a baseball stadium or golf course, and cherishes spending time with his two-year-old son and fiancée. He currently resides in Washington, DC.
