Brandon Herrera returned his NAGR Candidate Survey 100% pro-gun. Katy Padilla Stout wants to raise the age to buy so-called “assault weapons” to 21.
The two candidates in Texas’ 23rd Congressional District have laid out very different plans for your Second Amendment rights.
Gun owners deserve to know exactly where each one stands.
Brandon Herrera: a pro-gun platform
Brandon Herrera lives the gun culture every single day, promoting gun rights on his hit YouTube channel, “The AK Guy.”
He returned his National Association for Gun Rights Candidate Survey 100% pro-gun and earned an endorsement from NAGR-PAC.
His campaign platform is just as clear. Herrera says he will block any attempt to pass “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation laws or impose new firearms restrictions.¹
And he has supported the most pro-gun legislation in America:
“I want to see nationwide Constitutional Carry.” – Brandon Herrera ²
That’s a pro-gun platform.
Katy Padilla Stout: the gun control platform
Katy Padilla Stout, the Democrat in the race, wants to raise the minimum age to buy so-called “assault weapons” to 21. She said so at an October 13 debate.³ Young adults who are old enough to serve in the military would be banned from buying America’s most popular rifles.
Her own campaign website calls for Universal Gun Registration, a ban on bump stocks, and “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation laws, and says “No Constitutional right is without reasonable limits grounded in common sense.”⁴
That should tell TX-23 gun owners everything they need to know.
The Gun Control Lobby is paying attention
GIFFORDS PAC, one of the most extreme gun control groups in America, has endorsed Padilla Stout.⁵

And Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, who signed his own state’s ban on so-called “assault weapons,” has launched a new $20 million PAC that lists Herrera as one of its first targets.⁶

When the Gun Control Lobby and an out-of-state Governor with an anti-gun record line up behind a candidate, they know exactly what they’re getting.
Gun owners in Texas’ 23rd District deserve to know where the candidates stand on the Second Amendment, before they decide who will represent them in Washington.
That’s why NAGR is getting the facts out in TX-23.
The National Association for Gun Rights is taking the candidates’ records directly to gun owners across Texas’ 23rd District, and Gun Rights America SuperPAC is running a hard-hitting political program through Election Day on November 3rd.
NAGR is exposing the agenda of Padilla Stout, and every gun grabber like her this election cycle.
Help us keep exposing gun grabbers before November 3rd.
