California’s Gun Control Laws Proven NOT to Work

New figures from the FBI show that heavily gun-controlled California led the nation in “active shooter incidents” in 2023.

According to the latest FBI report, 2023 had a total of 48 “active shooter incidents” in the U.S., with California leading all states with a total number of 8.

The FBI defines an active shooter as “one or more individuals actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a populated area.”

Despite having numerous gun control laws on the books, such as magazine capacity limits, a state-approved handgun roster, “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation, 10-day waiting periods to purchase a firearm, and so much more, California continues to prove gun control does not work.

The FBI data also reports that California led in same category in 2021, yet Gov. Gavin Newsom continues to laud the alleged “success” of gun control in his state.

Newsom also criticized states with looser gun control laws, like Florida, despite the Sunshine State having reported one-fourth of “active shooter incidents.”

The evidence is clear: more gun control ≠ less shootings, despite the Left’s continuous rhetoric to enact more gun control legislation.
