California Congressman Robert Garcia is under fire for comments made on CNN in which he called for physical violence in the Democrats’ fight against Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
“I think [Musk is] also harming the American public in an enormous way. And what I think is really important and what the American public want is for us to bring actual weapons to this bar fight. This is an actual fight for democracy, for the future of this country.”
This would be a sharp reversal from Garcia’s previous positions. Over the course of his career, Garcia has consistently supported:
