NAGR PAC Endorses Jared Hudson for U.S. Senate in Alabama GOP Runoff

“Good isn’t enough in deep-red Alabama. Gun owners deserve a champion.”

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The National Association for Gun Rights PAC announced Monday its endorsement of Jared Hudson in Alabama’s Republican primary runoff for U.S. Senate. The runoff election is June 16. Hudson will face U.S. Rep. Barry Moore for the Republican nomination for the seat being vacated by U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville.

Hudson has separated himself as the candidate best positioned to fight for gun owners in Washington, as a proven Second Amendment advocate who understands that Alabama should expect more than a reliable vote from its next U.S. senator.

“Alabama is deep red, and gun owners here should not be asked to settle for ‘good enough,’” said Dudley Brown, President of the National Association for Gun Rights PAC. “This is a state that should be sending champions to Washington, not politicians who wait for someone else to cut the trail and then claim credit for walking it.”

Brown said the endorsement reflects NAGR PAC’s belief that Hudson would bring aggressive, unapologetic pro-gun leadership to the Senate at a time when gun owners are looking for fighters, not caretakers.

“Jared understands the Second Amendment is not a slogan, a campaign prop or a box to check on a voter guide,” Brown said. “It is a God-given right that must be defended without apology. That is exactly the kind of fighter Alabama gun owners need in Washington.”

Hudson, a former Navy SEAL and law enforcement officer, has made defending the Second Amendment a central part of his campaign and pledged a 100% pro-gun record on the National Association for Gun Rights candidate questionnaire.

“This is an unbelievable honor. I want to thank the National Association for Gun Rights PAC for endorsing our campaign for the United States Senate,” Hudson said in a campaign video. “The Second Amendment doesn’t need quiet supporters. It needs real fighters.”

NAGR PAC said the endorsement comes as gun owners continue to press Congress to roll back federal gun control, rein in federal agencies, and reject compromise-driven legislation that weakens the right to keep and bear arms.

“Every election season, Republicans talk about the Second Amendment,” Brown said. “But talk is cheap. Gun owners are tired of politicians who roar during campaign season and whisper when it’s time to fight. Jared has made it clear he is ready to take the fight directly to the gun control lobby, the federal bureaucracy, and the D.C. Swamp, who are always looking for a way to cut a deal.”

Brown said Alabama gun owners have an opportunity in the June 16 runoff to make clear that the standard for a Republican Senate nominee in Alabama should be higher than simply casting the right vote when the outcome is already decided.

“In a state like Alabama, the question is not whether a candidate can vote right when the pressure is off,” Brown said. “The question is whether he will lead when the pressure is on. Jared Hudson is the pro-gun champion in this race, and NAGR PAC is proud to stand with him.”
